I’m told by the staff at KDP, Amazon, that the “Look Inside” Feature will appear just after the book is available for sale. I didn’t know this! So much to learn.
My first book, Preorder at the moment. It goes on sale September 19th, 2024. It is the first volume in a series of four. The other three are being formatted, and the covers are being finalized.
Most of these poems involve a character called, “dog“. Lower case d, and almost all involve one I call, “Wind“. Both of these, have been central to my own life, as well as a character I named, “Beast“, and I named him long, long ago, before I ever became aware of “Wind“, and long before “dog“, became something precious to me.
There is a novel that is nearing completion. “The Chronicles of dog, Book I, The Forlorn Worlds“. It features many of the poems, and, all of the characters introduced in the four volume series, “Missives from the Hinterlands“.

These poems, 40 in each volume, were mostly written on the road, tapped into my phone, one character at a time. Each book is arranged in chronological order. I deliberated, for quite some time, printing out the poems and arranging them in various orders, before realizing, they Probably, probably, were best kept in the order in which they were written. Who is ever happy with their work? Every craftsman forever notices their flaws, but I am happy enough. I listened and allowed the words to flow, the best I could. Sometimes, that is all one can do.
